Responsibilities

JOB SUMMARY:

 

Financial, operational and leadership experience that focuses on achieving financial targets, transforming the business through the implementation of strategic initiatives and managing the day-to-day activities of the business. Adept at applying critical thinking and problem solving skills to maximize profit, achieve efficiency and mitigate risk. Accomplished at partnering with Legal, Compliance, Technology, HR and Finance leaders to achieve the needs of a growing and dynamic business. Takes pride in the success of the company and its people. RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Must possess current S7, S63, S65 or S66, Life and Health, S24, S52 and S53 licenses
  • Responsible for adding, removing and maintaining product lines offered and ensuring Financial advisors are appropriate trained on products.
  • Responsible for further development and enhancement of the Insource GA vendor relationship
  • Responsible for Clearing relationship such as FCC. Collaborate with product teams for Smartstation, Managed Money, Business Development Toolkit.
  • Manage and maintain positive relationship with Wholesalers and responsible for business development with new wholesalers
  • Ensure sales managers are incorporated with Wholesaler relationships
  • Responsible for the review and approval of new account applications
  • Responsible for the management of department staff such as hiring, performance management, coaching and professional development and disciplinary situations
  • Responsible for developing, setting and measuring of staff production and performance goals
  • Identify and implement operational efficiencies to enhance profitability and/or reduce expenses while ensuring the delivery of excellent customer service
  • Prepare and present the annual report to board member and shareholders at the annual meeting
  • Prepare and submit the quarterly 404 Certification to the Audit department

Qualifications

SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Minimum of ten (10) years working in an Investment Management and/or Financial Advisor role required
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Minimum of three (3) years of effective staff management and goals
  • Business related licenses or ability to obtain within reasonable timeframe is required
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Products
  • Ability to travel 50% including overnight travel

  • Ability to observe, perceive, identify, and translate data
  • Ability to travel via air, rail, automobile and/or bus
