The HR Manager position is responsible for analyzing and recommending solutions to HR matters. The HR Manager assesses and anticipates HR-related needs. Communicating needs proactively with our HR department and business management, the HR Manager seeks to develop integrated solutions. The HR Manager formulates partnerships across the HR function to deliver value-added service to management and employees that reflect the business objectives of the organization.


  • Manages the planning and organizing of HR programs while ensuring compliance with established HR policies and procedures.
  • Consults with line management, providing HR guidance when appropriate.
  • Analyzes trends and metrics in partnership with the HR group to develop solutions, programs and policies.
  • Prepares and maintains special internal and external reports.
  • Manages and resolves employee relations issues. Conducts effective, thorough and objective investigations.
  • Maintains in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance.
  • Provides day-to-day performance management guidance to line management (coaching, counseling, career development, disciplinary actions).
  • Works closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, and increase productivity and retention.
  • Provides HR policy guidance and interpretation.
  • Works with the business to develop terms for new hires, promotions and transfers.
  • Provides guidance and input on business unit restructures, workforce planning and succession planning.
  • Identifies training needs.  Participates in evaluation and monitoring of success of training programs. Follows-up to ensure training objectives are met.

  • Minimum of 3 years working in a HR professional role is required
  • SHRM-CP and PHR preferred
  • Prior experience working in Banking is strongly desired
  • High School diploma or equivalent is required. Bachelor’s degree is a plus
  • Excellent proficiency in Microsoft Office Products (Word, Excel & Powerpoint) is required
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Must demonstrate a strong ability to prioritize work, balance the needs of the various managers and ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality and professionalism is essential.
  • Ability to provide high level of customer service to staff and ability to identify when questions/issues need to be escalated to management.
