The Post Closing Review Product Specialist, Sr performs post-closing reviews of loans to ensure loans are documented in compliance with the approvals, all Loan Policy exceptions have been identified and reported, and that coding on commercial loans is accurate. S/He will review financial information and calculate various financial ratios. The Product Specialist, Senior is responsible for the support of the Post Closing Review process, including the assistance of internal customers and service partners across a broad range of needs. S/He often manages projects within the assigned product or service area or is a key contributor on behalf of that product or service in larger projects. S/He creates and updates procedures. As a subject matter expert, the incumbent is expected to identify and make recommendations to improve the quality, timeliness, and efficiency of assigned products/services and/or contribute to their implementation.
•Coordinate and complete post-closing review of commercial loans to ensure all Loan Policy Exceptions as outlined in the Credit Policy have been identified.
•Ability to read and interpret credit underwriting memorandum’s, financial statements, calculate financial ratios, and identify policy exceptions.
•Interact with management, account officers, and portfolio managers in a prompt and professional manner when reviewing and presenting policy exceptions and needed documentation.
•Maintain up-to-date knowledge of United’s Consolidated Loan Policy.
•Uses independent judgement to determine required documentation is adequate to perfect the Bank’s lien position.
•Provides support to service partners and customers related to the delivery and administration of assigned products. Support includes, but is not limited to, researching and resolving problems, performing maintenance functions, assisting with product-related questions on capabilities and options, and recommendations to improve the accuracy and/or efficiency of products/services.
•Produces assigned reports in a timely and accurate fashion. Identifies and recommends improvements in the accuracy and efficiency of the reporting process.
•As a subject matter expert, leads or contributes in a material way to projects involving assigned products and services and identifies/recommends improvements to the quality, timeliness and/or efficiency of designated products and services.
•Reviews user materials for assigned products/services, including manuals, training programs, and release notes, to advise Operations management when changes may be needed to United Bank processes, procedures, communications, etc., and contributes to those changes.
