  • Responsibilities

    JOB SUMMARY:

    Responsible for review of loan files and the preparation of loan closing packages for Portfolio and Secondary Market mortgage loans.

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Perform pre-closing review of mortgage loan files when the closer receives the file for closing
    • Prepare loan-closing packages for all United Bank, Inc. offices
    • Answer inquiries from the clients and Loan Originators concerning settlement costs, closing dates. etc
    • Disburse closing funds to the settlement agent, typically preparing a wire transfer form
    • Post close files and scan closing package to investor by placing the file in a specific order and then scanning to the investor
    • Work with various investors to get any additional documentation needed for the investor to purchase the loan.
    • Work with settlement agents to get final title policies and recorded Deeds of Trusts

    Qualifications

    • High school diploma or equivalent required
    • Minimum of one (1) years of working with consumer loans
    • Prior working experience with a Mortgage Automated Underwriting System (AUS) highly desired
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Products required
    • Solid verbal and written communication skills required
    • Ability to demonstrate strong interpersonal and customer service skill
    • Detail oriented and ability to multi-task

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

    • Sitting for extended periods of time.
    • Sufficient dexterity of hands and fingers to efficiently operate a computer keyboard, mouse and other computer components.
    • Ability to converse and exchange information with all levels of staff within organization.
    • Ability to observe, perceive, identify, and translate data
    • Ability to lift and move boxes of up to 50lbs.
